So we see that the primary definitions refer to a text as a printed work, a book, or something of the like. The more definitions they give, they more abstract they become, until we arrive at definition 8, "something (as a movie) considered as an object to be examined". Bingo. So lets bring this together in terms of a "Multimedia Text" . We already understand multimedia writing to the conveyance of a thought or an idea using one or more mediums. So, using that definition of multimedia writing, we can look at a multimedia text as an object or pruduct of multimedia writing that is being examined, debated, considered for its unspoken meanings, learned from, etc. For instance, we created documentaries for this class. They are forms of multimedia writing. When we critically examine our documentaries, when we explore their lessons and learn from them, they can be considered a multimedia text, "A product of multimedia writing which is examined, contemplated, and refered to in order to learn or provoke thought/discussion".

The caveat of this phrase "multimedia text" is that when we hear the word "text" we will almost always think of a printed work. So whenever I hear multimedia text, I will think of a printed work, a book, a magazine, before i think about it just being an object of multimedia which is being examined.

So there's my 2 cents. Dont spend it all in one place.
