Genre Analysis

"An exercise in information overload"

When I was looking for a website I wanted something which had a good amount of traffic and reflected the opinion of the more liberal side of the filesharing community.

This website, The P2P Foundation, is no doubt a good resource. There is so much information. However, the layout made it difficult to take in all the content. Even worse, the structure of the website made it nearly impossible to discover resources which weren't a part of the organization done on the front page.

Note: Apparently we can't attach files even under 1MB now. Please up the disk quota or fix this, this is ridiculous.

Car Domain and Social Networks

T4L is designing the site WhyILarp.com with the intent of creating a place where users can connect and clreate profiles, allowing them to post stories, news, and pictures of themselves and events they have attended. We are modeling the site off of several existing Social Networks. A Social Network is a website that allows people to come together and create a profile to help meet other people with a similar interest. To examine this type of site further, I will be exploring and examining the aspects of the site CarDomain.com.
