Documentaries like Invisible Children are not casual in their intent nor are they neutral. Rather, their audience and the people behind the movie's motives are quite set in their ways, thus formulating an agenda. It is extremely important to recognize this as a fundamental element behind effective multimedia writing. If the documentary was not meant to impact those who saw it the way it did, it would never have been able to achieve the reverberations it did. 

Creating a documentary is a prime example of multimedia writing. The physical documentary itself being a strong exampe of it, along with the components that created it. A documentary is something that is going to be viewed by others, this "viewing" is thus in essence a representation of one's writings but in an unconventional format. A documentary with all its intricate obvious and not so obvious elements thus serves as the voice of those who were behind it.

Photo/image manipulation software, such as Photoshop and the whole Adobe Creative suite in general have revolutionized our visual capacity and ability as a society. Such kinds of software have served as a medium that nurtures our conception and inspiration.

I enjoyed this reading. It's a simple, down to earth, cut and dried guide to the beginning designer on a budget. Or under deadline. Or designing for a certain audience. Or a designer with outdated equipment. So, pretty much everyone who's ever wanted to design a website of some sort for general use. Quinn delves into not only the usual "ohhh no, I have to get this done in a month/with x amount of dollars" restraints, but also issues with equipment, your staff (if you're fortunate enough to have one), and the problems inherent in updating an already existing and popular website.
